I-9 Form Update The revision date on the government’s most current I-9 form is August 7, 2009. If you are not using the most current version, go to www.uscis.gov and choose the “Forms” option in the header. Then choose “Employment Based Forms” and select and print form number I-9. The revision date of August 7, 2009 is printed in the lower right hand corner of the I-9 form as well as on the instruction pages. The “Y” following the revision date stands for “Yes.” This means that it is permissible to continue to use the immediately preceding version of the I-9 form. In this case, the previous version is dated February 2, 2009. Although you may use either the February or August versions of the form, we recommend that you begin using the most recent version revised on August 7 and continue using the most recent version until USCIS issues another revision.
